Description
Step into chambers and hear directly from the judges who shape federal practice in our district.
This interactive CLE offers a unique opportunity for members of the federal bar to engage directly with Magistrate Judges from our district in a candid roundtable setting. Participants will have the chance to present questions and explore practical strategies for navigating both criminal and civil matters in federal court.
Magistrate Judges will share their insights on reviewing search and arrest warrant applications, best practices for establishing probable cause and effective advocacy in detention hearings under the Bail Reform Act. In the civil arena, the discussion will focus on resolving discovery disputes, proportionality, e-discovery protocols and strategies for successful settlement conferences and mediations.
Whether you are litigating criminal cases, managing complex civil discovery, or seeking to improve your approach to settlement, this program will provide valuable guidance straight from the bench, helping you avoid common pitfalls, strengthen your advocacy, and foster a more professional and efficient practice.
