Dorislee Gilbert


Dorislee Gilbert is the 2022 Vice-Chair of the Louisville Bar Association's Appellate Section. She is an experienced appellate advocate, having handled more than 75 cases in Kentucky's Appellate Courts. Dorislee previously served as Executive Director of the Mary Byron Project, where she launched an Appellate Advocacy Program to provide expert appellate legal assistance to survivors of intimate partner violence. She was also the Chief and Deputy Chief of the Appellate and Research Division at the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office and was frequently appointed Special Assistant Attorney General to represent the Commonwealth of Kentucky in appeals.
