Dustin A. Cole

Attorneys Master Class

Since 1991, more than 35 of the nation’s Bar associations have called on Dustin Cole to provide their members with education on how to improve their practice operations, increase client service and satisfaction, and build more successful practices. During his more than two decades of service to the profession, Dustin has educated more than 20,000 attorneys, and worked personally with more than 500 individual attorneys, as well as firms ranging in size from two to 2,000 attorneys.

After a twenty-year career in the world of business, Dustin founded Public Strategies Florida, a public relations and marketing firm specializing in support to law firms. From 1985 to 1993, Public Strategies/Florida served law firms across Florida, receiving numerous awards for marketing and public interest programs. Concurrently, from 1986 to 1993, in conjunction with a major law firm client, Dustin also helped launch a Florida lawyer’s professional liability insurance provider, serving as its Vice President of Marketing and gaining the startup company a 20% market share within four years.

In 1993, Dustin helped launch a new organization focused on attorney marketing and management training, helping lead it to national prominence. As the company’s primary trainer and workshop leader, he conducted more than 200 workshops and firm retreats in 18 states. As its senior practice adviser, he worked personally with scores of firms and attorneys to help them expand their practices or deal with specific developmental issues.

In 2002 Dustin moved into a new phase of support to the legal profession, founding Attorneys Master Class to provide direct support to firms coping with market change, operational and staffing issues, partner disputes, mergers and breakups. As Master Practice Advisor for Attorneys Master Class, he has guided practice groups of major firms through successful strategic planning, marketing campaigns and restructuring.

In recent years, Dustin has been increasingly called upon to advise attorneys on planning for successful retirements, firm transitions and successions, and firm sales and closures, and has presented succession planning workshops for more than a dozen state Bar associations.

Dustin is a regular keynote speaker at State Bar Annual Meetings and has presented programs and workshops for nearly every state Solo & Small Firm Conference. He is currently working with clients in all four corners of the United States, from Massachusetts to California, Alaska to the Virgin Islands.

Dustin resides in Frankfort, Kentucky. He is a native of Phoenix, Arizona, and holds a degree in Communications from Arizona State University.
