F. Todd Lewis is the 2022 Vice-Chair of the Appellate Section. He has been practicing for 25 years and has specialized in criminal, civil, and family appeals for the last 10. Before establishing his private practice ten years ago he was a prosecutor and executive director of prosecutions for 12 years and spent his first 3 years at the Legal Aid Society. He has tried around 40 jury trials, most criminal cases. He is admitted in all state and federal courts covering Kentucky, and in the United States Supreme Court. Todd is also active in the community, including his Old Louisville Neighborhood, DuPont Manual High School. He is a founder of the Friends of Jefferson County Public Law Library and the Fresh Start Expungement Program for indigent clients. Todd has been the leading cause of several appellate reversals—sometimes as the appellate attorney, and sometimes as the subject trial attorney.
